So last night I decided to check out Dim Mak Tuesaday's at Cinespace in Hollywood.  I haven't been back since probably last August.  Although the last three weeks in a row have been awesome (appearances by Dan Black, Kid Cuddi, Uffie).  Last night was aight,  I did though get a chance to network, and met a couple cool people and got free drinks (thanks to the 5min open bar everytime the dj blew his horn rule)
On the drive back, as usual the iPod was in shuffle mode and 'Jeffer' by Boys Noize came on.  I had forgotten how awesome this track was.  So with that, I leave you with a video where you can pick up dance moves by a dancer that goes by the name of takeSomeCrime and use them at the club. Hahaha.  This is hilarious.  I didn't think much of the video UNTIL it hit the 24second mark. Then I got up and danced. hahah.  Anyways the video is to Kaptain Cadillac's track 'Show Me Love' off of his EP 'Eldorado Biarritz 1957'.  Its definitely a good track to briefly put in your mix.  Enjoy :)

A-Trak is not an uncommon name in this crazy music industry. We all know this humble story of this Montreal-er - a multiple DMC Champion handpicked by Kanye West to be his touring DJ, co-founder of Fool’s Gold Records, a pioneer in this electro dance scene, an avid twitter-er, a renowned hotel reviewer and the list goes on. EIKNARF and Asian Dan in collaboration with Media Contender & KLOUD had the opportunity to be invited into Alain’s apartment/studio to get a candid view into how he got to where he is, what it took to get there and where he is going.  The background track [0:25 seconds into the video] is original music by A-Trak featuring Drake and Birdman titled 'Loonies to Blow'.  Grab it below.

Here we have a new remix from Timo Maas of Infected Mushroom. Timo has been around for years and always delivers the goods on both danceability and pure production values.  The track is titled 'Smashing The Opponent' and features vocal from Korn singer, Jonathan Davis.  This track is a little more edgy then what we normally post, but it brought back memories of when I used to listen to a band by the name of, The Faint.  Looking back, that was a great summer.  Can't wait for this one to kick off.....

So it's been a year since I've started what we all have come to know as MusiqTrend. Um....okay a year since it was official. ( i used the .blogspot three week before i actually bought the domain)

I'd never thought it would evolve into this. Back when myspace was the ish, I used to post comments on my friends profiles w/ embedded video and the mediafire/zshare/ mp3 links. One day, my friend, we'll call him "Joel" suggested I start a blog. So I did.

I really didn't have expectations, nor did I have a clue on how or where to begin...

Nonetheless, the remix is siick so get it while its hot!!

So I received this email straight from Leipzig, Germany.  It was to the video above, which is the electro interpretation and hommage to guča music and it's trumpets by KIT KLITT.
The video is a project from Hawkins, Trashfamous, and John Caddilack.  I love the horn in this track.  It takes me back to when I played the trumpet back in grade school.

MGMT - Flash Delirium

Two new tracks from MGMT’s second album surfaced today. The first one was an official release from the band’s website itself, called ‘Flash Delirium’.  The second is ‘Congratulations’ which is also the name of their sophomore album.  Both tracks are typical MGMT, which is good cause thats what we like.
