Girl Is Tough, a pop-electro group from 'Mex xi xi xi co' has caught my attention with their track 'Touch And Play'. I haven't heard a track that has been influenced so much by the 'High Energy', 'disco' era from back in the day. It reminiscent of them good ol' Stevie-B, Johnny-O tracks. The track/video I'm actually posting is a remix by the French Dj, Monsieur Sept.

They're [both] actually gonna be at The Beauty Bar  in San Diego tomorrow, so all my, "San Diego-ites. San Diego-ins. San Diego-uns. San Dieg-ons. San Diegans. San Diegans" go check them out!

Can't believe how quickly M.I.A's video to 'Born Free' came out.  I JUST posted about the track and now we have a visual. The video which is more like a short film is incredible. Its a bit graphic but goes along with the story. It all starts making sense at [3:31].

So as I listened to B.o.B's new album, 'B.o.B presents The Adventures Of Bobby Ray', which is out tomorrow April 27, 'The Kids' comes on and before I know it, Im moving my head to the beat. Its funny how now-a-days it seems most hip-hop artist are taking samples or rapping over indie beats. And im not gonna lie, I kinda dig it. 'Kids' is based around the melody of Vampire Weekend’s 'The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance'.

Here we have a leak from M.I.A's album, which is currently untitled but scheduled to be out sometime late July.  The track title is 'Born Free'.  Its definitely NOT what you'd expect.  The track is reminiscent of something I would hear playing from that small stage at a VANS Warped Tour Concert.  It's  kinda punk-ska-ish.  Whatever its categorized as, I like it!  Stream it below via the Soundcloud player and download it via the link right below that!

Rubix - Vruchtvlees Mixtape Number 7 [Stream + download]

It has been a long time since we've heard from Rubix, but he released a mixtape, and we are happy and proud to announce 'Vruchtvlees Mixtape Number 7'. Rubix is an Amsterdam based producer who loves and produces Disco, Gypsy and Electro. He is most famous for his track (with video!) 'Baiser Sur La Disco' which was released on Girls Love Dj's Records.  'Vruchtvlees Mixtape number 7' is a nice mix that starts with some disco, blends into gypsy and ends with ruff dubstep sounds.  You can stream the mix via the Soundcloud player below and check out the track-list and download link after the jump!

Chloe's new album 'One In Other' which is coming out on Parisian label 'Kill The DJ'. Kill The DJ has been around since 2005 with releases from Chloe, Ivan Smagghe, Remote, In Flagranti, Krikor and more. Definitely a label to watch out for with it's stylish take on the French underground sound.

So I'm definitely not huge on dupstep.  But I have friends who are just getting into the movement and love it.  This post is for them.  Above we have a very electric hypnotizing video of a track titled 'Ready To Blow', by the Belgium group Addicted Kru Sound.  Their sound is a mixture of dupstep meets electric pop slash drum n bass.
