Kedd Cook - Pacific Festival OC 2010 Mixtape

Here is a great hour mix by none other then The OC's La Cave Wednesdays and Scott's Thursday resident DJ, Kedd Cook.  The mix was done up for the 'Pacific Festival' this weekend in Costa Mesa.  Acts include: Skull Candy, Steve Aoki, The Sounds, Miami Horror, Classixx, etc.  Cook is scheduled to go on at 2:15 on the Pacific Outdoor Stage.  If you live nearby, come on down.  You cant miss this awesome event!  See you there!

LexiconDon - Student Body (Bit Funk Remix)

Ah yesss! Finally something to get you groovin' without the hard/dutch/electro sound you seem to hear everywhere now-a-days.  LexiconDon is an LA base band composed of Matteo Eiya, Fabian Ordorica, Alex Koons, SamUel Gabbard.  Their album 'Pink + Blue' dropped August 24.  Below is their dance ready track 'Student Body' remixed by Bit Funk.  We are definitely gonna keep ya posted.  BTW, if you live in the LA area, they are playing at Bardot tonight also there tonight Pase Rock.  Should be legit.

The Red Room - Dj Ayla Simone

MT is glad to introduce Dj Ayla Simone. She's been rockin the scene for the past six years. Some of her recent gigs include the Fedde Le Grand Output Tour at Voyeur, the Red Bull Air Races, and the Hard Rock Hotel with DJ Scotty Boy. This year she already released two CDs including the Electro Booty Bass and The Red Room. Below we have the latter. The mix starts out a bit lounge-y but builds up to that indie we all desire. hahaha. The Ghostland Observatory track caught me of guard. Stream the hour long mix below and download via link.

LA based LAZRtag just gave us their latest remix.  It's to the one-and-only, band of the year, The xx.  They took 'Stars' and did their thing.  Dopeness.  It's weird, cause I was beginning to get xx withdrawals.  Wait for the 1 minute mark where it really starts.  Get it below!

Angus and Julia Stone - Hold On [Official Video + Mp3]

Angus and Julia Stone gave us this new music video for 'Hold On'.  The track is a single off their second album 'Down the Way', which dropped last March. Their album is great.  I just re-listened to it while I was the only one awake on my middle of the night drive (8 hours) from San Francisco back to the OC.  Sometimes you just need some harmonious, sedate music.  Im still waiting on the video for 'For You', its the best track on their album.

The Ting Tings - Hands [Stream + Mp3]

This is the official video for Medina's fantastic track 'You and I'.  Medina is already a huge pop sensation in her native country. The half Danish half Chilean songstress began working with the infamous production team, 'Providers' in the summer of 2009 and released the dance floor smash, 'Kun for Mig' (You and I) on September 2009. It's Gonna Be A While Mix - MusiqTrend 30 Min Mix

So today I have a mix done by yours-truly.  It's a 30 minute mix I like to call the, 'It's Gonna Be A While Mix'.  I broke my computer about a month ago and have yet to add my entire library to my Dj Software (Torq for M-Audio Xponent).  The mix I'm posting I did while my friends and I were just chillin and BBQ'n about a week before the laptop incident.  It's not one of my mastered/produced mix like in the past. So I was never into video games.  Not even as a child.  I would get bored after 20mins or so.  This past winter season as my friends and I spent a week in Mammoth snowboarding, on our downtime in the cabin we played Rock Band.  Let's just say alll I did for a week was eat, drink, sleep, snowboard, and play the drums.  So naturally when I received this email about DJ Hero 2, it took me back to the wonderful Mammoth trip.  I will definitely give this game a chance.  Can't wait for it to drop!
