Picture Book - Sunshine [Official Music Video + Justin Faust Remix]

Picture Book are brothers Dario Darnell and Lorne Ashley, born in New York City and raised in Manchester, UK. Dario and Lorne have inherited a love of song writing and performing from their father August Darnell, lead singer and band leader of the legendary Kid Creole & The Coconuts.

Dario and Lorne have spent the last three years based in Liverpool, where they attended University whilst writing, recording and performing, often contributing their skills to other artists work. whilst creating a musical agenda for their artist project, Picture Book. In creating their own unique style of electronic dance music, they perform multiple instruments in their live show, often simultaneously, to create exciting and memorable live performances.

Picture Book will release their first commercial EP 'At Last' in January 2012. The four track EP was co-written and recorded with Grammy nominated vocalist Greta Svabo Bech, who featured on Deadmau5's 'Raise Your Weapon'. The EP demonstrates the breadth of songwriting skills, from the uptempo and immediate Sunshine, to the more reflective Terminally in Love.

The lead single, 'Sunshine', was produced by Picture Book, with additional production and mixing by super hot French DJ & producer 'Hugo Leclercq. Second track 'Jealousy' was co-produced and mixed with Dan Grech, who produced The Vaccines 2011 breakthrough album. The third track, Terminally In Love, and final track, Surrender, were produced and mixed by Picture Book.

'At Last' will be closely followed by a remix package in February 2012.

Following on from the success of ‘Inside Out’ in 2011, Shake Aletti have been busying themselves over the winter months creating their much anticipated debut album for release later in 2012.

Rafale - Obsessions LP Remixes [Stream + Download]

 

Founded in 2007 by Julien Henry (synths & vocals) + Marc Aumont (bass & vocals), Rafale got the meters in overdrive right from the start. After the release of 2 EPs, this double act grew to a trio when Frank Richard joined on the drums to work on a 3rd EP, Eraser, produced by Arnaud Rebotini.

Last year saw the release of their debut full-length, Obsessions, which was also Robotini. This week the French duo is back with an incredible gift to y’all, a remixed version of Obsessions featuring Commuter, Arnaud Robotini, Museum, Voyou, Maria False, Theo Gravil, Darabi, Heisenberg 1943, Juveniles & Black Buvard.

BOSS IN DRAMA – Disco Karma [Official Video + Club Mix]

Brazilian producer Péricles M., better known as Boss in Drama, unveils today the video for his 2nd single off his debut album.

Directed by Rafael Kent, “Disco Karma” follows the concept of music: it’s lightweight, sunny + entertaining. “We wanted to make a dance music video. Not like those choreographed pop videos, but for each dancer to personally interpret different styles of dance. We recorded a ragga dancer, street dancers and even a contemporary dance. As the chorus says, ‘Let the music take control!’ “ explains Pericles Martins, aka Boss in Drama. Besides the dancers, the clip features the participation of Australian singer Christel Escosa, who co-wrote & sings on the track.

Also available from today is the club mix version of “Disco Karma”. “People were always asking me to play Disco Karma on the dance floor, but the original version works over a pool party on a sunny day, not in a club at 3 am. From there came the idea of making this club mix, a more dynamic version of the track to get the dancefloor pumping.” Pericles says. With that, the club mix was born.

AutoReverse is a french duo from Avignon, France.

Originally, both Jérémy & Julien started making electronic music with electro, trash and fidget a few years ago.
But in 2011, they stumbled upon their old vinyls of DiscoKidz, Crydamoure and other house legends and decided to get back to their musical roots by building the funkiest project : AutoReverse.

Their first track, "Martine Hilton" is the perfect illustration of this mix of genres. It has the power of an electro-banger and the funky feel of a classic 70's track. This "Disco banger" will surely reveal your best boogie on the dancefloor or warm you up on a cold winter night.

The Denzels - Rae Rae

The Denzels still a young group, they’ve been called “a melting pot of all of New York Cities most successful acts.” Their influences range from Brian Wilson and The Cribs, to The Antlers and The Cure. Most of all, they’re influenced by the bands they see each week all over the city. There is a new Brooklyn sound and it’s changing every night. Originally named The Goods, the band began playing around Brooklyn and quickly became known for their energetic live shows. In early 2011 the group changed their name to The Denzels and released the “Slow Death” EP. The songs are a mixture of their surroundings and their upbringing, combining New York style Indie Rock with West Coast beach pop.
