Theophilus London - Flying Overseas (Soul Clap EFunk Remix)

"Flying Overseas," a standout from Theophilus London's Lovers Holiday EP, gets the sped-up Soul Clap remix treatment here for a brand new single. It transforms the original's laidback melody-rap vibe into a minimal dance track where the casual keyboards and guitar, produced by Devonte Hynes of Lightspeed Champion and Blood Orange, are merged together over the rumble of a crisp house beat. Solange Knowles, also featured on the original, gets her voice doused in watery effects, but it adds to the danceability rather than detracts. Grab the full single with the EP version, Soul Clap EFunk remix and Toddla T remix on June 27 via This Is Music.

A little less then a week until the release of David Andrew Sitek's (TV on the Radio) debut multi-artist collaboration album Maximum Balloon, but fans can hear the album in its entirety starting today on MySpace Music [Here]. The new single 'Groove Me', featuring Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London, was shot in Los Angeles by Carlos Garcia and was premiered on AOL Music this morning. So this is just a continuation to the post below. I've actually been listening to Theophilus London's mixtape 'This Charming Mixtape'. Its pretty dope. He jumps from electronic-to-soul to drum n bass to street-centric hip-hop to rock-rap to just about every genre. I havent posted bmore in a while so here is 'Always Love You' with of course Whitney Houston’s vocal chorus. Check it! btw The intro is hilarious.
