"Flying Overseas," a standout from Theophilus London's Lovers Holiday EP, gets the sped-up Soul Clap remix treatment here for a brand new single. It transforms the original's laidback melody-rap vibe into a minimal dance track where the casual keyboards and guitar, produced by Devonte Hynes of Lightspeed Champion and Blood Orange, are merged together over the rumble of a crisp house beat. Solange Knowles, also featured on the original, gets her voice doused in watery effects, but it adds to the danceability rather than detracts. Its funny how now-a-days it seems most hip-hop artist are taking samples or rapping over indie beats. And im not gonna lie, I kinda dig it. 'Kids' is based around the melody of Vampire Weekend’s 'The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance'.

"Two months ago, following DJ AM's passing we abruptly ended Banana Split, one of the premiere club nightsknown throughout the world. After much reflection, we've decided to give it the send-off it deserves.

The night started the Sunday of Halloween in 2006 and it's only appropriate that we wrap it up this Sundae November 1st, on what would have been Banana Split's 3 year anniversary We'll be celebrating with a handful of our favorite DJs from the past 3 years (you'll have to come to see who).

So please join us as we celebrate the night we came to call home and the DJ that inspired us all. That's this Sundae November 1st at Bardot (10pm-2am). As always there is no cover but there is a suggested $10 donation to the Adam Goldstein Foundation (any donation amount is appreciated)."
