The Voluntary Butler Scheme is back with a new sound and a new four-track EP. The EP is a taster of the next Voluntary Butler Scheme album, which will be a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks. For someone with such wildly far-ranging influences and outputs, Jones bravely says his aim for the album is "to blend all the different types of music I've been making together." Here is a first little taster, brand new track 'To The Height of a Frisbee' remixed by Dan Le Sac.

'Satellite' is the first single from The Kills forthcoming album 'Blood Pressures' out April 4th in UK and April 5th in US. In the video for 'Satellite', Alison and Jamie hop into a vintage Rolls Royce and embark upon a road trip headed towards the faded, washed out glamour of the English coast. Vehicle collisions, dual personalities, and even a spot of fish and chips feature in this subtly disorientating, noir clip.
Much like the week before, this week is no different. Except maybe for this weeks tracks lean towards the indie/electronic genre over the usual electro/bangers. Each of these tracks somehow evolve into a whole different sound halfway so make sure to listen to them more then 20secs. Peace.

Above is the official video to Dada Life 'White Noise/Red Meat' track. Below is a free download of 'White Noise/Red Meat (Bassjackers Remix)'. The remix was streamed on Bassjackers Sound Cloud and received many stamps of approval. The remix is tight and restrained in some parts, yet loose and free in others, seeping raw bass like your favorite banger should.

So this past friday I went up to Hollywood for a friends birthday at 'The Colony'. This place is ridiculously awesome. Great vibe. Good crowd. BUT especially awesome music! I don't know the name of the dj who opened up that night but he played some good shit. (good music allll night actually).
It wasn't your typical electro/top40 you've come to dread because of its abundance at every club. It was smooth jazzy with a sprinkle of gangster and a 'pop' cherry on top.....but to get to my point. When they played the track above after some CSS, Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Calvin Harris, I knew it was gonna be an awesome night. The track was a pivotal point of the night....lets just say the rest was history.
We have two tracks by the Welsh singer/band Marina and the Diamonds which have been circulating the blogs. These tracks didn't make it onto their last LP 'The Family Jewels'. Maybe they're works for a new album. Who knows?
