Her melodic sense and underground noise/art influences, coupled with co-writer and producer Peter Wade’s interest in merging non-traditional sounds with polished songs, has proven to be a perfect marriage of minds. Of recording "Cut Me Out", MNDR explains:
"I sang ‘like a choir singer’ to make the angelic vocal part at the top of the song. We recorded it at a slower tempo on tape, then sped up the tape to raise the pitch and make it sound like the choir was in the clouds."
