Black Diamond Bay - Speak Slow (B.earnd Analogue Edit)
Black Diamond Bay return with their latest single Speak Slow, taken from their impressively eclectic and wonderous ‘Come The Desert’ album. The band have building on their fantastic live reputation this summer with a recently confirmed slot on the BBC introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals in August.
Speak Slow is based around a repeated vocal hook performed first by female (Agne Motie) and then responding male (Jesse O’Mahoney) vocalists. It’s a sensual promise between two young lovers that whispers in your ear, it lies on your tongue and seduces you with it’s subtle and ever evolving instrumentation, until it creeps into your heart and refuses to leave. Of all the myriad of genres BDB fly through this is the most perfectly executed, and the most revealing of their songwriting prowess.

Black Diamond Bay : Come The Desert (Album Stream)
Take two excellent vocalists, add an electric guitarist with a penchant for effects pedals, add one drummer with an electronic kit and a mac, throw in a seasoned bass player, a laptop wizard and the occasional violin, mix in some beautifully written songs with catchy choruses and you have Black Diamond Bay. They are gearing up for their debut album release ‘Come The Desert’ due for release on March 14th (iTunes) and March 28th (everywhere else). Stream their album and if you like, they are giving 'Philharmonic Bubbles' for free.
