Abandoned Pools @ The Casbah

The Abandoned Pools made a visit to San Diego on Monday April 11th, and MusiqTrend was personally invited by Diffraction Entertainment to sponsor the evening. After watching all the bands we left The Casbah in awe and extremely hyped about the shows to come.

The night was full of local acts including the talented bands The Slpwlkrs, and Napoleon Complex, who showcased their latest work in front of a fun monday night crowd. The night however was without a doubt taken to another dimension by a stellar performance from vocalist and musician Tommy Walter, front man and mastermind behind The Abandoned Pools.

Playing some of his new material and classics like Fluorescein, he enchanted those present with his in-your-face guitar strums and melodic vocals, once again confirming why he is so respected within the indie rock scene. We are stoked that The Abandoned Pools are making a comeback and will soon be releasing a new EP!

The Casbah was again the stage for an eclectic line up of bands who filled the night with damn great music. MusiqTrend was honored by the invitation and we thank Diffraction Entertainment for including us on what was a flawless night.

We leave you with one of our favorite songs of the evening...
